About Dóra Frankó
Dóra Frankó is a counselling psychologist and relaxation therapist whose work explores the emotional, symbolic, and transformative dimensions of womanhood and motherhood. She supports women navigating identity shifts, invisible losses, grief, self-compassion, shame, and the complex inner landscape of motherhood across different stages of life.
Integrating expressive writing and journal therapy, life story work, relaxation, art & symbol therapy, and nature-based approaches, her work creates reflective spaces for healing, meaning-making, and reconnection with the self. Rooted in existential and narrative psychology, Dóra believes deeply in the possibilities held within creativity, conscious and compassionate presence, and authentic inner voice.
She is a certified Journal to the Self® Instructor through the Center for Journal Therapy and continues her training at the Therapeutic Writing Institute. Dóra’s approach is guided by curiosity and a deep respect for each person’s unique story, creating space to discover how writing can help us listen more closely to our inner lives, make meaning of what we have lived through, and find new language for what is yet unfolding.
She shares her playful and thoughtful reflections on books and psyche on her substack, The Woods of Pages.
